We appreciate your selection of Tallahassee Single Day Surgery Center for your outpatient surgical care. We are a free-standing multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center and have been serving the outpatient surgery needs of Leon and neighboring county residents since 1978. The staff serving you is professionally trained to provide the highest quality care at the lowest possible cost.

Our efforts to give you the best possible care have received the seal of approval from the premier accrediting body in heath care today. We are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Our accreditation means that we voluntarily asked to be evaluated by an outside, independent organization of healthcare professionals for compliance with national standards set by the American College of Physicians, the American College of Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the American Hospital Association, and the American Medical Association. Those standards represent the best thinking about quality in health care in our country. Our accreditation means that we have been evaluated for compliance with those standards and have met them.

Our surgery center is staffed by highly qualified, experienced, well educated personnel whom are committed to quality patient care and also in assisting you with your particular surgery needs. In a seemingly impersonal computerized era, human skill and a caring spirit are still the basis of good medical care. We offer you both. After Hour Emergencies:

Please contact your surgeon in the event of any difficulty. If you are unable to reach your surgeon, call Tallahassee Single Day Surgery Center , Monday-Friday, 6:00a.m.-5:00p.m. or one of the local emergency rooms.

Health Plan Provider:

We participate in the following health plans: Capital Health Plan, CHampus, Health Advantage/One Source/CCN, Healthplan Southeast, Children's Medical Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, PCA, Workers Compensation Plans, HRS County Contracts, Beechstreet, Medicare, Medicaid, We Care, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and we file all other insurance.

Payment Policy:

We appreciate payment at the time of service. Co-pays and deductibles are collected either at the pre-op visit or the day of surgery. If any questions arise concerning fees, billing, or difficulty with payment, please contact our Director of Administration.

We are happy to provide estimates for services. Please remember that charges quoted prior to surgery are only AN ESTIMATE. We want also to remind you that your bill for surgical services will be filed with your insurance company. You will receive a statement monthly indicating your bill is being processed for you.

NOTE: You will ALSO receive a separate bill from your surgeon, your anesthesiologist, the pathologist and in some cases the laboratory. These aer not included in the center's bill.

Insurance Claims:

We file insurance claims for surgery. If you have more than one insurance policy, we will file with the secondary payer(s). If your insurance company does not pay within 90 days, you are responsible for payment.

Medical Records:

If you or any other party desires a copy of your medical record, a signed authorization by you (or the legal guardian in the case of a child) must be on file prior to the release of your record.
